To Be Self-Released July 7 - Pre-Order / Save Here

Shares “Razor’s Edge (Live at Roadburn)” - Listen / Share

To celebrate and commemorate the ending of Emma Ruth Rundle's soul-bearing Engine of Hell album cycle, Rundle has announced a live album in addition to sharing the final dates of her Engine of Hell tour which wraps in the EU this summer. Engine of Hell - Live at Roadburn 2022 will be self released on July 7th.

Of the album, Rundle says; “Roadburn has been such an important place for me and my evolution as an artist. The opportunity to perform ‘Engine of Hell’ in full there in 2022 was the end of something… and the beginning of this whole new chapter in my life and art. I really do feel free in so many ways. I wanted to commemorate and honor the experience by making my ‘Live at Roadburn’ album my first self release in 13 years.  I will always treasure the Roadburn community”

In anticipation of this release, Rundle is sharing "Razor's Edge (Live at Roadburn 2022)" in advance; listen below.

“A PLACE IN OUR BRAINS THAT WE CANNOT TALK ABOUT”: EMMA RUTH RUNDLE ON ESOTERIC SOUNDS, MUSICAL MOTIVATIONS, AND MAKING CLOSER CONNECTIONS

“A PLACE IN OUR BRAINS THAT WE CANNOT TALK ABOUT”: EMMA RUTH RUNDLE ON ESOTERIC SOUNDS, MUSICAL MOTIVATIONS, AND MAKING CLOSER CONNECTIONS

There’s no doubt that Rundle’s music – which occupies the hypnotic intersection between doom metal, affecting singer/songwriter folk, and densely layered shoegaze – doesn’t often cross over into pop. It is, however, at least in the same neighborhood; on albums such as 2016’s Marked For Death and 2018’s On Dark Horses, she found soaring hooks and sublime melodies within stormy musical exorcisms, the likes of which make a moving target of genre, even when the aesthetic itself remains uniquely her own.

EMMA RUTH RUNDLE'S EG2: DOWSING VOICE IS OUT TODAY ON BANDCAMP

Emma Ruth Rundle’s second installment in her Electric Guitar series, EG2: Dowsing Voice, is like the soundtrack to a film that hasn’t been made. The mostly instrumental record follows her on a trip to the Welsh coast and down a magical well into the waters of nature, myth and the Old Golds - by way of her improvised music. The 40 plus minute album was sewn together from recordings channeled during her month-long solo journey in the early days of 2020 and completed before 2021’s critically lauded album Engine of Hell was even written.

EMMA RUTH RUNDLE RELEASES ORPHEUS LOOKING BACK EP

Emma Ruth Rundle has released a new EP Orpheus Looking Back, a small collection of unreleased songs from the Engine Of Hell sessions, her highly lauded 2021 album. These three bare and intimate performances are in keeping with the album's unadorned style. “Pump Organ Song”, released earlier this month was written spontaneously in the studio in response to her failing marriage and the availability of an old pump organ in the tracking room.
